The home of Domaine Divio, selected by winemaker Bruno Corneaux as he believes it offers the best terroir from which to make the perfect Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. From the air it appears as an island that has broken off from surrounding landmasses. Willakenzie marine sedimentary soil is relatively uniform throughout the AVA and the lack of underground water limits vigorous vine growth.
Expressive and harmonious nose of meyer lemon, toasted bread, pine sap, honeysuckle, peach, pineapple, hints of vanilla and roasted almonds. Lively at first with citrus notes, it lingers with rich spices and baked pear on a clean mineral finish.
