THE AVA

Nestled in the weather shadow of the Coast Range mountains, vineyards in the McMinnville AVA benefit from longer ripening periods and the resulting wines show beautiful purity of fruit. Predominantly marine sedimentary soils are interrupted with scatterings of basalt which make not only vineyard selection, but block selection, an important task for a winemaker.

THE WINE

The nose is inviting with notes of cedar, cranberries and dried, dark cherries. The palate is soft and round, framed by elegant acidity. The finish is lengthy with hints of velvety and sweet licorice flavors.
