An ancestral Burgundian blend - Passetoutgrain is a blend of 2/3 Gamay and 1/3 Pinot Noir. It was traditionally allowed to create a blend of these two grapes where some blocks were planted with a mix of the two cultivars. When harvesting they would “pick them all” or "passetoutgrain".
Rich dark color. Jammy red and blue fruit on the nose with leather, roasted plums, bing cherries, roses, and a hint of white pepper. The texture is a luscious combination of crunchy and ripe fruit, yin and yang of savory cherry juice. With an opulent finish, this wine will complement any dish or any social afternoon gathering.
